COLONIAL MODERN HISTORY

Colombia, as every country in the world has a history and Bogota is one of the cities in Colombia where there has been more history and people commemorate these places keeping it all happened, or doing some museum. you have to know that Colombia was a country colonized by Spain and as in all places have been civil wars, revolutions. etc.

In Bogota are many colonial places:

“La Quinta de bolivar”
In this place we can found the elements and objects Simon Bolivar use and in the guide they explain a lot of important details in this age.

“La plaza de bolívar”
Here is when the “Grito de la independencia” was date: July 20/ 1810 this is place for marches or protest. In all the places and corners we can smell history.

“Casa museo del 20 de Julio de 1810 o casa del florero”
Its called like that because here was the first revolt of the 20 of July.

“Museo de Oro”
In this place is a lot of gold objects, ceramics and other materials that evidence some of our aboriginal culture.

“Museo Nacional”
Go to this place is like travel to the history of Colombia. There are saved archaeological and ethnographic, artistic, historic and modern pieces.

“Museo de botero”
With the work of different artists either Picasso in the XIX and XX centuries. Botero donated 123 some arts this is one of the largest art collections in the country.

As you can see these places as there are many other interesting places in Bogota, you can visit to have a more realistic approach to our history and so to appreciate it better.
